| This was the night that three
months of hard work came to fruition. This was how long it took for newarkleisure to mould four
inexperienced people into stars for the night. This was STARMAKER. With no stage experience at all, but with the desire to make it work, they played to a packed venue with standing ovations throughout the night. |
| SO, WHAT EXACTLY IS 'STARMAKER'? It is newarksleisure's experience in taking four people of any gender and teaching them the craft of putting on two 45 minute performances and getting through around 25 songs that they have learned and practised until they could sing them in their sleep. It's the choreography, its the sound tests and equipment and it is being able to have the discipline to see it through, to be focused on every rehersal, on every song and its the ability to sell 20 tickets at £5 per ticket to all the family, friends, workmates, nieghbours etc. to raise the £400 it takes to achieve the dream....TO PERFORM LIVE AT A FULL VENUE WITH PROFESSIONAL BACKING TRACKS AND ONE OF THE BEST LIGHTING AND DISCO SET UPS IN THE AREA. Be prepared to float on air for a few days because this is something you will not forget |
